The .NET 5 WinForms Designer hangs on an attempt to resize or add controls to LayoutControl

created 4 years ago

I have the Hot Fix installed:
https://supportcenter.devexpress.com/ticket/details/t1011832

Was using the Layout Control in .NET 5 Winforms Designer and ran into this behaviour:

If you add a control from the tool box, (double clicking in this case), it places the control on the form, but I cannot drag it or select anything on the form. If I build the application after adding them, then I can drag them into the Layout Control.

If I make ANY adjustments to the Layout Control, as soon as the adjustment is complete, I can no longer do anything with the Layout control. If I build the application after making the adjustment, then I can interact with the Layout Control again.

Just passing it along, I understand the .NET 5 support is not complete at this time.

    Hello,

I tried to reproduce the issue, but all my attempts were unsuccessful. I recorded a video to illustrate how this works on my side. Refer to the video in the attachment. Could you please send us a simple project and a video illustrating how to reproduce this issue? I will examine it and do my best to find a solution.
I look forward to hearing from you.

See attached. Only by compiling the project can I interact with the controls again.
