It is not quite clear what problems you have with relational databases (RDBMS) like Microsoft SQL Server that could be addressed by NoSQL databases. Would you please elaborate more on your own situation, issues and solutions you already tried to implement for RDBMS? If you have performance issues, we would appreciate it if you could share diagnostic information described in FAQ: How to measure and improve application performance.
With that, we could recommend the best technical solutions. At this stage, I can only say that XPO ORM does not support NoSQL databases (neither does Audit Trail).
