Hi DevExpress Experts.
We use your WinForm version of the Analytics Dashboards (https://www.devexpress.com/products/net/dashboard/)) in our products. Overall we and our customer love the product, especially how the designer is far superior to anything out there…
but…
When talking to our partners they again and again bring up that while functional, then look and feel of the WinForm/WPF version of the dashboards visually looks outdated compared to what else is out there (do a Google Image search on "dashboard" and you properly see what I mean)
I played a bit with themes and the fact that you can activate chart animations, but it feels that it does not give very much in terms of getting things to "pop" on the screen (no options for rounded corners, etc.)
I know it is all a matter of opinion when it come to visuals (I personally like it the way it is already) but have you had any similar feedback or do you have any plans/hints that could tackle this growing voice (at least in my community)?
Hello Rasmus,
Thank you for sharing your opinion about our product. We appreciate your interest. Could you also elaborate on your ideas? We will discuss them within the team.
In the meantime, I invite you to check out our Web Dashboard. It has a brand new view. How does it look for you? I believe you will find it helpful if you wish to develop a web-based application.
I've have looked and use the Web Dashboard version and people tend to like them a bit more. I thing it is mostly the blocky layout of the Winform/WPF Dashboard that make people think they are old and dated. A bit of option to rounded corners, better out of the box colors, more spacing between things would properly do the trick of making them feel more modern
