Core - The last state of Model Editor is lost after closing and re-opening Visual Studio

created 4 years ago (modified 4 years ago)

[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM T941701: XAFML don't open correctly]
Ok, if I remove all occurrences of <SubType>Designer</SubType> out of the csproj-file, it opens as expected and the message window appears again.
But the position, where I was, is not recorded, if I close and reopen VS.
If I only close and open the Model Editor, it keeps the settings.

In spite of my update-settings, today this was installed:

        Clipboard-File-1.png

After that, I manually installed this, 15 minutes ago:

        Clipboard-File-2.png

All is still working as it should.

          Hello Michael,
We are happy to hear that the problem was solved. Do you still face this problem on other computers? Would you please also clarify whether the dll file you sent us was from the same path as you saw in debug mode (c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio\2019\professional\common7\ide\extensions\devexpress\devexpress.expressapp.design.corepackage)? If the file had a different location and you still experience this problem on a different computer, could you please repeat the steps and send us the file from another computer?
Also, for your information, in v20.1.9 and v20.2.4 we added more information to log files that will help us with such issues in the future.

            Hello, Andrey,

            1. The file exists only once on my harddrive in "c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio\2019\professional\common7\ide\extensions\devexpress\"
            2. All of my developers have Windows 10 20H2 installed and nobody has problems.

            Thank you
            Michael
