[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM Arabic text doesn't display the correct order]
in the editor the text showed up the correct order but as soon as i click on Submit button the text messed up so there's even a bug here :)
anyways, I have made a screenshot of what the text supposed to look like. see attachment,
update: here's the text:
<title>مسؤول كوري شمالي لـCNN: لن نوقف التجارب النووية والصاروخية</title>
If the same text direction was changed to the right, it will look correctly with the right order:
<title> مسؤول كوري شمالي لـCNN: لن نوقف التجارب النووية والصاروخية</title>
But in the screenshot you sent, the text have the same order as the feed but aligned to the right
Hello Jia,
Thank you for reporting this issue to us. I tried to reproduce this problem on my side, but my attempts were unsuccessful. Would you please attach a simple text that I can paste in the editor in order to reproduce the problem? Also, record a video demonstrating how this issue appears on your side. You can record a video using the Jing tool.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Stan
this is the original text:
<title>مسؤول كوري شمالي لـCNN: لن نوقف التجارب النووية والصاروخية</title>
and here's the RTL version of it : note the order of the text.
you see the text order is wrong. I have attached the video
Hello Jia,
From the attached video, I see that the word order of the RTL version is changed after clicking the "Post Comment" button. It is unclear, however, how you entered this text in the editor. As far as I know the editor doesn't allow you to enter RTL. Would you please clarify this point? A video demonstrating your interaction will be helpful.
Thanks,
Stan
hi Stan,
nothing fancy. I did a copy paste from the Outlook.
our support sent me an email reporting an Arabic displaying issue with the DevExpress grid control. I ended up creating a thread here (https://www.devexpress.com/support/center/Question/Details/T509067) and discovered this issue on your support website.
I believe our support edited the text in WORD. I suggest you to do it in WORD and set "Text Direction" to RTL. then copy over the text and you should see the problem.
Jia
Thank you for the clarification, Jia.
I have finally managed to reproduce this behavior on my side. I have created a separate ticket in our Support Center in this regard: T510071: The Right-To-Left setting is reset when submitting a message written in Arabic. We will research it and do our the best to fix this issue.
Thanks,
Stan
