Ribbon - Customization Form - Saving changes to the form after removing an item from the "Customize the Ribbon" list and adding it back to the same group in this list duplicates the item

Hello,

An item on the ribbon (e.g. a button) is duplicated if we remove and add it via the ribbon customization form.

Repro steps:

  1. Open RibbonNotepadDemo app.
  2. Bring up the Ribbon customization form
  3. Remove the item "New"  under Home > File on the right side list.
  4. Restore the item "New" from the left side.
  5. Click OK and close the form.
  6. Inspect the File group on the Home tab.

You will see that there are two "New" buttons on the tab.

    We have fixed the issue described in this ticket and will include the fix in our next maintenance update. To apply this solution before the official update, request a hotfix by clicking the corresponding link for product versions you require.

    Note: Hotfixes may be unavailable for beta versions and updates that are about to be released.
