Regarding Q570295: Visual Studio is slow when CodeRush and DevExpress Assembly Deployment tool are installed

created 10 years ago

[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM Q570295: Visual Studio is slow when CodeRush and DevExpress Assembly Deployment tool are installed]
I am experiencing similar issue, at one point my computer even froze and I had to use hard shut down!
I tried to create log as described on http://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/Question/Details/K18265 but as you can see from attached screenshot I don't have Diagnostics folder.
Please advise what should I do to track down issue with CodeRush 14.1.5.0 and Visual Studio 2013 using C# Project.
Best Regards
Farukh Sharipov

      Hello gabriel,
I have moved your question to a separate ticket, because in this case, other users will be able to find a solution to a problem that was discussed or already resolved with ease. Let's continue discussing your issue in the Visual Studio performance is slow after 2014.2.4 and 2014.1.9 are installed thread.

        Hi Farukh,
I have analyzed your About dialog content and found nothing suspicious. My attempts to reproduce the issue with the 2014.1.5 build failed too.
I see that you have the v2014 vol 2.4 subscription but you are using an old CodeRush version. Would you please upgrade CodeRush to the latest 2014.2.4 version, may be, this solves the problem.
If, after that, the problem persists, it would be great if you provide us with the steps to reproduce it or catch a sample video. You can use a free Jing tool for this. Also, collect performance logs as described in the What is the best way to track down the cause of the performance problems? blog post. Note that options pages in the "Diagnostics" folder have the "Expert" level - see the attached screenshot. I marked the "Level" ComboBox with a red rectangle.
We are waiting for your results.
