How to prevent Internet Explorer from using Compatibility View on intranet sites

created 11 years ago

[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM KA18646: How to adjust DevExpress ASP.NET controls when opening a page in the Internet Explorer Compatibility Mode]

I can't get any of this to work.
Any other ideas to force this to work?

I got it to 'sort of' work by changing the Web.config.

    Hello Jon,

    This information is insufficient for us to determine the cause of this issue.
    Would you please describe it in greater detail?
    - What does the issue look like? Please make a detailed screencast that illustrates how to reproduce this issue from scratch (for example, use the Jing tool for this purpose);
    - If this issue is browser-specific, specify the browser family/version:
        - Detailed information about the browser: make a screenshot of the "Help -> About …" dialog;
        - Browser/Document mode settings: make a screenshot of the Dev Toolbar (press the F12 key to invoke it);
    - Provide us with a simple working project that illustrates the issue in action.

    Your time and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

      The problem is IE uses compatibility mode when the site is an Intranet and IE defaults to IE8 compatibility.  I'll train users to change the browser settings or use a different browser.
      Thanks.

      Hi,

      I recommend you check the "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View"  in the Tools -> Compatibility View settings window. I believe that this option forces IE to be in compatibility mode.

      Best regards,
      Paul
