Setup doesn't create libraries for Delphi 2007 Enterprise Trial Version - Easy resolving

created 17 years ago

Hello,
this is only small suggestion for users of older Delphi version (2006). Problem is described here:
http://www.devexpress.com/Support/Center/p/CQ44462.aspx
You can copy your existing dcc32.exe
c:\Program Files\Borland\BDS\4.0\Bin\DCC32.EXE
to
c:\Program Files\CodeGear\RAD Studio\5.0\bin\DCC32.EXE and re-run Express install again. It seems to me everything works fine. :-)
Vladimir
P.S. Can't understand CodeGear for such a strange restriction. When I want test Trail version (as potential buyer) I need test it as 30days FULL version and it means inlude all components, all my projects and all possibilities…

    Dear Vladimir,
Yes, we don't understand this restriction either. In any case, thank you for sharing your solution with us. Undoubtedly, this information will be helpful to other programmers who are working with the trial version of Delphi 2007. I've added a note about this to report CQ44462 ("Setup doesn't create libraries for Delphi 2007 Enterprise Trial Version"). Unfortunately, this solution isn't suitable for those, who don't own old Delphis.
    Thanks,
    Serge
