HTML Import - Images without an explicit size (the width and height attributes) are rendered incorrectly (their size is too small)

created 12 years ago

Hi,

I've just upgraded to version 12.2.6 and noticed that there's either a bug or a change in behavior inside the XtraRichEdit control in connection with html files. After the upgrade I have to apply a "width" and "height" declaration to the "<img>" tag. Otherwise the image gets rendered like a thumbnail. Prior to that I used version 12.1.8 and the images were rendered in its original size. Thanks in advance for investigating this issue.

Regards
Matthias

Thank you for the message. However, I am afraid it is difficult to determine the cause of this misbehavior without being able to replicate it locally. Would you please provide us with a sample project where the described problem occurs, so that we can examine it and detect the immediate cause of this misbehavior?

There it is. I found out another helpful information. If you use a html file with 2 times the same image without size declaration, the first time it is rendered like a thumbnail and the second time it is rendered correct.

Thank you for your sample. It appears to be an actual issue in our RichEditControl. I will forward this issue to our R&D team, and we will contact you once this issue is fixed. Please bear with us.
