Hi,
I'm using Delphi XE3 with DevExpress 12.2.9 on Windows 8.1.
I have a few RichEdit columns in one of my grids with OptionsView.CellAutoHeight = True and OptionsView.ColumnAutoWidth = True and I noticed that the grid sometimes doesn't calculate the height correctly. If I convert the columns to normal columns they work just fine.
You can see this in the attached demo.
If you look at the cell in the only column that has a caption ("LD") and the second row, and resize the form gently to make it wider/narrower, you'll notice two different behaviours:
If you clicked the "Generate for RichEdit columns" button, sometimes you only see "504 UT" and sometimes you see "504 UT 404 UT". It only disappears for a few pixels, then shows up correct again.
If you clicked on the "Generate for normal columns" button you always see "504 UT 404 UT", no matter how you resize the form.
Is there any way to force the grid to recalculate the height so it paints correctly? We use RichEdit columns in one of our grids and in printouts. I haven't tested yet if this works correctly when printing.
Thanks in advance,
Jon
In-place cxRichEdit - The width taken into OptionsBehavior.EditAutoHeight calculations is two pixels wider than the editor
