Deployment - Add wizards to support Delphi Prism (formerly known as RemObjects Oxygen or Chrome)

Codegear RAD Studio 2009 / Delphi Prism support

created 16 years ago

We are using Delphi7, and want to change to CodeGear RAD Studio 2009, and go in the direction of .NET. There is the new Delphi Prism, wich is MS Visual Studio based(?), and CodeGear wrote, the MS Visual Studio plug-ins works in this IDE too. My question is: can I use the DevExpress AspX, Silverlight products and Visual Studio Productivity add-ins, and .Net Business App Frameworks under Delphi Prism? If not, do you plan the support in the near future?

    Hi Max,
this is a good news, at least there is a possibility for a test. We are waiting for a long time for using Delphi + DevExpress for creating ASP.NET web applications.
If I can well understand, the ASP.NET components and the .NET Business App Frameworks works fine with Delphi Prism, but for example the Refactor! tool doesn't work well because the Delphi language. Is that right?
    Thanks,
    Zsolt

      Zsolt,
Yes, they may not work in some cases. Though, it doesn't mean that you won't be able to use our IDE tools at all.

      Regards,
      Max
