Section 508 Compliance - Allow Narrator to read toolbars and menus

Accessilbility

created 14 years ago

We have a blind customer.
When you select a ribbon tab and walk through the buttons with tab you cant hear the speech software. The speechsoftware only seems to work when you hoover your mouse over the text in the button. We are using buttons with images on the ribbon. The speech software the customer uses is the following: www.gwmicro.com.
I hope you have a solution for this problem.

      Hello.
I have discussed this issue with our developers. We have not tested our TdxRibbon's behavior in this situation, because it can be very difficult to take all available third-party software peculiarities into account, and it can take significant time to examine all possible issues with these third-party tools.
Anyway, we decided to convert this issue to a suggestion. We will examine the possibility to fine-tune our controls to work correctly with the Windows-Eyes tool, and let you know our results.
You will receive an automatic message once the status of this issue is changed.
      Best regards,
      Ingvar.
