XAF Blazor: Are Criteria Property Editors Supported?

created 4 years ago

Hi DevExpress Support,

We are working towards migrating our XAF Webforms app to Blazor, and had a quick question for you.

Are criteria property editors as described in the link below supported in XAF Blazor?:

https://docs.devexpress.com/eXpressAppFramework/113143/task-based-help/property-editors/how-to-use-criteria-property-editors

The above link specifically refers to WinForms and ASP.NET property editors, so I was not sure whether this feature had been implemented yet in Blazor.

Thanks for all of your wonderful support!

Cheers,

Geoff.

Hello Geoff,

v23.1+

XAF's DxGridListEditor and FilterPropertyEditor now integrate a JavaScript-based Data Filtering UI (Filter Criteria Editor), first introduced in our Web Reporting and BI Dashboard products. This new feature supports popular criteria language options based on reference, collection, and scalar/value type properties such as strings, numbers, etc.

Older Versions

XAF Blazor has a Property Editor for criteria properties. It shows a text box and has an expression validation:
Clipboard-File-1.png
It does not provide any additional visual elements, and the user should know criteria syntax to use it. Our Blazor components do not have a dedicated criteria editor yet. When this editor is ready, we will definitely integrate it in XAF. However, this will unlikely happen in the first half of this year.
