Stale External JS Files

created 5 years ago (modified 5 years ago)

[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM T890272: TestCafe Studio - Stale External JS Files/Inaccurate Test Step Drag n' Drop/Save-Undo-Redo]

External JS files that are used within scripted blocks of TestCafe Studio are not refreshed until you close and re-open TestCafe studio. This makes it very frustrating to debug/update code. It seems like maybe the file cache is not cleared every test run.

I've reproduced the issue and passed it to the R&D team. We'll update this ticket once we have any result, please bear with us.

Also, I noticed that the issue persists only if that files are edited with an external editor. If they are edited with TestCafe Studio editor, their actual version is used. Maybe you could use this fact as a workaround.

Do you mind if I make this ticket public so that other people can be also aware of the progress?

I don't mind, that would be fine.

I'll just stick to the TestCafe editor for now, then.
