Inconsistent behavior in 'Not Deep Equal' assertions with an empty 'Expected Value' field

created 6 years ago

Hi,

I think we may have stumbled upon a bug within Testcafe Studio when using the 'Not Deep Equal' assertion.

I tried attaching a recording of this scenario, but unfortunately the file is too large to send, so I've attached a screenshot of this example instead. The first time the 'Expected Value' field is left blank, the test fails to save, as illustrated in the attached screenshot - but on the final step of the recording, the same action does save (as expected). I think the bug is that the action fails to save on the first time of asking in this scenario. Hope this is useful / helpful for you guys to be aware of.

Kind Regards,

Matt
