DevExtreme.AspNet.Mvc Is missing

created 8 years ago

Hi,
I have a reoccurring problem with DevExtreme.AspNet.Mvc
The dll is not found under my DevExpress installation and every time I change a version with the source control the project reference seem to loose the link to it.
I ended up putting it in a hard coded location such as C:\DLL\DevExtreme.AspNet.Mvc.dll and reference the project directly there.

What is dll used for? Do I really need it? Can I just remove its reference?
Thanks

If I just remove the reference then the Project builds OK but I get runtime errors such as:

    Hi Eyal,

This assembly is installed by our DevExtreme installer to the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\DevExpress 17.1\DevExtreme\System\DevExtreme\Bin\AspNet. Or, you can install it from our NuGet repository. I suggest you use NuGet to avoid hard-codding the path to the assembly. Check out the DevExpress NuGet packages article for information on how to access our NuGet repository.
