Hi Friends!
For some reason unit tests are not running properly when using CodeRush for Roslyn. The project in question is located in the following repo (dev branch): https://github.com/sethjuarez/numl. The tests run properly using the mstest interface in Visual Studio 2017 RC.

Hi Seth,
Thanks for the source code,
I have managed to reproduce the issue. Please give us some time to research the issue in detail.
Thanks!
Hi Seth,

We have researched the problem deeply and noticed that it isn't reproducible with the latest version of .Net Core (v1.1.0).
Would you please check what version you have? You can do it using the "dotnet" command. Please try it in a command line (see the screenshot):
If you have an earlier version, download the latest version from the following page:
https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/core#/current
After the update, please check the version using the "dotnet" command. If it wasn't updated, remove previous versions using the "Control Panel" > "Program and Features" dialog (see the screenshot):

I did as instructed but seem to have the same problem :(
-Seth
Seth,
It seems we need additional information. Please give us some time so we can prepare a special build for you with additional logging. We will notify you as soon as it is ready. Please watch for our updates.
I removed all of the old .NET core installations and reinstalled the latest .NET Core. It appears after restarting the machine things seem to be working!!! Thanks so much!
Although the code coverage tool yielded no results when running all with code coverage. I suppose that is a separate problem though.
OK, so here's an update. When I do a "Run All" from the Test Runner window it seems to work. When I run individual tests it seems to hang. If I "Debug" a single test it seems to work (although slow) through the actual code but takes a long time to terminate. I think there is an issue with the tests terminating properly on my machine. Hope this helps!
Hi Seth,
We are glad to hear that some issues are gone after the .Net Core update.
As for the Code Coverage issue, I've created a separate ticket on your behalf:
Code Coverage - Yielded no results on .Net Core project with xUnit tests
It has been placed in our processing queue and will be answered shortly.
Unfortunately, the issues with running individual tests and Debug aren't reproducible on our side.
We have prepared a build containing additional logging:
http://downloads.devexpress.com/Share/IDE/170302/DevExpress.CodeRush.Roslyn-16.2.6.17061.vsix
Please perform the following steps:
1. Install the build with additional logging.
2. Go to the "%LocalAppData%\CodeRush\Logs" folder and clear all its content.
3. Run Visual Studio and try to reproduce the issues.
4. Send us the content of the Logs folder.
We hope this information will shed some light on the causes of the issues.
See attached. Looks like things do make it through the runs but it sure takes a while on some of them. Thanks for all of your help!
Seth,
You are welcome. As I can see from the logs, all your attempts to run or debug tests has been successfully completed. So, just to clarify, am I correct that everything now works as expected?
On our side, we also noticed some delay before starting tests. We will try to investigate this.
Yes - sure does work. It is a bit sluggish though.
Thank you for your reply, Seth. As for the slowness, we will investigate the real cause of it.
