Set a TrackBar value when you press it with a finger

created 9 years ago

[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM T297768: Improve touch support for TrackBarControl]

There is still room for improvement: When you touch at a certain point of the trackbar, the value is changes just after removing the finger again, therefore it is not possible to touch at any position and then drag the handle from there on. I believe this is because the Trackbar uses mouse events rather than Guesture events. Is there any chance that you will improve that as well? Tank you anyway for your quick help.

Hi Daniel,

I see that currently, a TrackBar value is set when you release a finger. Do I correctly understand you that you wish it to be done when you press a TrackBar with a finger and then you will be able to move a finger to set a TrackBar value starting from the point where you have pressed it? I'm not sure that it's possible since if you press a control with a finger and hold it for some time, a right click will be raised to display a context menu which is the default touch behavior. But, I'll discuss this functionality with our developers.

      Hi Gosha,
Yes you understand correctly. I don't know the technical details of the right click, but in my case I don't need a right click emulation on such a track bar. Thank you for all your efforts.
