created 10 years ago

Hi DevExp,

I have a big problem with lasts versions of DevExpVCLProducts, in my case i have a big suite of applications made using DevExp VCL, but after version 14.1.3, i have a problem in a especific plataform, and is complicated made a example, but maybe devteam know what is the problem, my apps compiled with >= 14.1.4 doesnt work in a session 0 isolation level, is a application running in a windows server, with GUI running over system account, to access the gui of application i need to access the session 0 isolation level, this enviroment doesnt have "explorer.exe" running, my app is a full screen gui. When i compile with <= 14.1.3 works perfect, i try all new versions and wait naturally be fixed, but i think that is no so easy, and now i trying a bug report. I undestand the importance of a demo to simulate the problem, but is very complicated build a demo.

the app run in background, but interface is inacessible, i cannot see application icon in ALT+TAB swaps, and gui never open.

Any change that devteam know what is the problem?

thanx

    Hello Cristian,

I have discussed this scenario with our developers, but we do not see a difference between 14.1.3 and 14.1.4 that can affect the GUI this way. Moreover, I am not sure that "Session 0" without explorer.exe is suitable for graphical user interfaces. I thought it is a system level and it is not intended to have any UI at all. I suggest that you try removing controls one by one along with commenting corresponding custom code until the error is gone. This can help you at least localize the problem.

        It works for me.
This fix will come in the next version?
        Thanks.

          Hello Cristian,

I am happy to hear that the provided code helps. We are going to embed it into future versions of our controls. However, I kindly ask that you help us continue the research since similar code is used in some other snippets of our sources. Thus, there are still potential problems left. Since we were not able to reproduce the issue on our side, would you please provide us with the call stack information I requested above? This may help us make our products more reliable.

            Attached.
            Thanks.
