Add the capability to display custom captions in scales

created 11 years ago

Hello Support,

I have starting using gauges for VCL and there doesn't appear to be a good way to label the gauges.  I can add a tcxlabel but this doesn't scale very nicely.  I noticed for the WinForms package there is a label collection for each gauge and I was curious if there were plans for incorporating this for VCL as well.

Thank You,

Elliott

    Hello Elliott,

You are right, there are no embedded labels in our VCL Gauges for now. However, we are going to implement them with future versions of our controls since this feature is extremely useful.

      Hello Paulo,
Do you happen to have any time frame for when this might be implemented?
      Thank You,

We have implemented the functionality described in this ticket. It will be included in our next update(s).

Please check back and leave a comment to this response to let us know whether or not this solution addresses your concerns.

        Additional information:

With VCL 15.1, we added the capability to create custom scale captions by using a scale's on-form context menu at design time. To manage captions at runtime, use a scale's Captions collection property. For each caption, you can use the OptionsView  and OptionsLayout property sets in order to specify font properties, a rotation angle, and a position within its scale.
