About this, why on earth are you still swallowing exceptions ?
I have some code in a dragdrop event, that throws an exception, but it gets eaten.
How to end this bad practice ?

Hi Guido,
If you're referring to the Control.DragDrop event, its behavior is fully controlled by the Windows Forms platform. According to the .NET Framework source code, the exception is always swallowed unless the runtime deems it to be "critical". Our components do not and cannot affect this behavior.
If you're referring to the DragDropBehavior.DragDrop event - according to my tests, the application successfully crashes when I throw an exception in its handler.
If the behavior on your side is different (or if you're referring to a drag-drop event in some other component), please share a sample project that demonstrates it.
