Blazor - Popup Bottom Toolbar size

created 6 months ago

Hi Guys,

why has the bottom Toolbar in Popups SizeMode Large? Why do they not respect the size mode settings?

BottomToolbar.ToolbarModel.SizeMode = SizeMode.Large;

Hello Martin,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We confirm that the large buttons in a pop-up window's bottom toolbar is a deliberate design choice on our part. While it is possible that this will change in the future (when the Fluent Theme is introduced, for example), we currently cannot confirm any specifics.

If you want to modify that behavior in your XAF Blazor application, create a custom pop-up window Template.

Best regards,
Herman

      i see in 25.1 EAP you have changed that - will that mean you will officially change that? (if yes we will not invest time to this)

        Hello. Our Blazor Components team is working on better Compact mode support and the new architecture of underlying themes. For example, Bootstrap-based themes are being replaced with the new Fluent and other home-grown themes, which better respect size modes. This toolbar is just one of the many enhancements we're working on (for example, DxFormLayout has a lot of "air" to be tightened in the future).

        We are only researching Fluent theme integration in XAF for v25.1 - we have not announced its official support (as per our roadmap). Our work on Fluent and other theme adjustments is still unfinished as of April - our final release is expected in early June. This is the only official statement we can make at this stage. We appreciate your patience.
