Re: PivotGrid for WinForms - Filter is not set after RestoreLayout

Hello DevExpress Support,

I am having the same issue as reported here: https://supportcenter.devexpress.com/ticket/details/t1122933

In my case, I have over one thousand pivot grid layouts that were saved throughout the years from versions 21.2.9 and older, and their filters are not restored in version 24.2.5.

Unlike the similar issues reported by other users, I am saving the layout to a database in binary format instead of xml, using the PivotGridControl SaveLayoutToStream and restoring with RestoreLayoutFromStream.

I tried the solution from the other tickets that simply consists of setting the ActiveFilterString to an empty string prior to restoring the layout but that doesn't solve the problem. The filters are still empty.

Your guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try re-saving layouts in v22.1.5 as advised in the following tickets:

PivotGrid for WinForms - Filter is not set after RestoreLayout
PivotGrid for WinForms - Prefilter not loading on new versions

Based on the results achieved by our customers, this resolves the issue.
