Code Cleanup – The “Add Copyright header” cleanup changes the existing copyright header

created 3 years ago (modified 3 years ago)

[DevExpress Support Team: CLONED FROM T753143: Code Cleanup – The “Add Copyright header” cleanup applied on save changes the existing copyright header]

Hi everybody

I got the same prob like Andri in the very first post.

When I save my class, the author of the class is overwritten . If a header already exists, the author should not be overwritten.

Are there some settings i forgot?

Visual Studio 2019
CodeRush V21.2.4

regards,
Mario

    Hello,
I just realized that there is a special option and I was reproducing the issue with this option turned off. Please open the CodeRush->Options…->Editor->C#->Programming Style options page, scroll down, and check whether Do not replace the existing copyright header during code cleanup is turned on.

      Hi Artem

      Thank you for the answers.

After the turn on, it works perfectly!

      Regards,
      Mario
