created 4 years ago

Hello,

today Delphi 11 Alexandria was released.
When can we expect to have an updated DevExpress VCL Version?

Thank you!

Hello Santiago,

We decided to adjust the current version of our Installer (v21.1.4) in advance. So, it is already capable of installing our controls for this new IDE. Of course, your resulting application may require thorough testing as this IDE may be not stable enough yet.

      Hello Roy,

I'm glad to hear that the installation was successful this time.
The following is an explanation why the setup was not installed for the new IDE automatically:
When you choose the "Recompile" or "Repair" option, your current installation is updated for previously selected IDE's only.
For a new IDE you must run the Setup in "Modify" mode and select the newly installed IDE platform.

        Hi Serge,

The first time I ran using DevExpressVCLProducts-21.1.5.exe I did choose "Modify" mode and there was no option to select IDEs. Selecting Recompile and Repair was only done after being unsuccessful. Only when I ran the Setup.exe was there success

        Cheers,
        Roy

          Hello Roy

If you face such a problem next time, please collect more information for us. In this case, create screenshots of installers steps and indicate if you rebooted your computer after installing Delphi.

          Thanks,
          Gregory
