Is there a way i can hide the level/relation name fro being displayed in a master detail gridview.
I tried ShowViewCaption=false for the detail grid view. but it does not work.

Unless I'm mistaken, you want to hide detail tabs with captions. To accomplish this task, set the OptionsDetail.ShowDetailTabs property of the master view to false.
