Problem with Internet Explorer 6 and XAF

Web application loading panel hangs in Internet Explorer 6 ( IE 6 )

created 16 years ago

Hi,
Sorry to keep bombarding you with support requests :(
I have a very simple ASP application with one business class that so far has one property. When I run the project from VS2005 and try and create a new item the browser hangs with the 'loading' panel displayed when I select any of the 'save' options. If i task switch to another application and back to the browser it stops and seems to have saved the data ok.
I am using IE6.0.
I am loving XAF so far :)
Thanks
Glynn

    Hello Glynn,
Finally after a hour of configuring the virtual machine and installing the products of the version you have on it, I can test our XAF web demos in Internet Explorer 6. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce any issue using the steps you provided.
In order to fix the issue, we must first reproduce the issue in our labs. Could you please provide us with more detailed information on how to reproduce the problem:

    1. a small sample project;
    2. the step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the failure.
      Thanks,
      Dennis

      Hi Dennis,
I did as you suggested and updated my browser to IE7 and everything is working ok. However, I have attached my application for you if that helps you find any potential problems.
To reproduce all i needed to do was to try and create any of business classes and then save using any of the options. For example, in my sample I have a one-to-many relationship between two business classes 'skid' and 'pump'. If you try and create a new 'pump' and save then that should do it.
      Thanks
      Glynn

        Hello Glynn,
Thank you for the update, and your sample. Unfortunately, this did not help us to see the problem. It all works fine even with your sample. It seems there may be an issue in the browser, because in our experience, we encounter issues in MS stuff often.
Anyway, I am glad to hear that you have updated your browser, and have your application working. Thank you for informing us.
        Thanks,
        Dennis
