ASPxScheduler Drag/Drop appointment with Safari using trackpad on mac book pro

created 13 years ago

Dear Team,
I have found an issue copying multiple ASPXScheduler appointments using the trackpad on a MacBook pro with Safari.
Unfortunately many of my users have this arrangement.
I have reproduced the issue on the online ASPxScheduler demo.
Attached is a screencast of the problem.
Notes to the screencast-

  1. I successfully copied two appointments using control+drag.
  2. I then try to copy two more appointments and drop them on the cell of the 23rd July. This fails and the page refreshes - somehow this changes all the appointments.
(it now looks like I refresh the page here - but I change my mind and don't do this)
  3. I then try to copy two more appointments. The entire text of the page is selected, the copy fails and the page is reloaded again.
My site uses the APS.NET membership system. Here the error causes the user to be logged out and taken to the login page again. My users report this in addition to the "all text selected" problem and I have reproduced it.
    Some details-
Safari version used is Version 5.1.2
The problem only occurs using the mac book pro's trackpad. I could not reproduce it using a standard USB mouse.
I also tested using Firefox - and could not reproduce the issue - either with a mouse or the trackpad.
    I tried versions -
    Firefox 8.0.1 OK
    Firefox 9.0.1 OK
    MacBook details as follows
    MacBook pro 10.6.8 snow leopard?
      System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)
      Kernel Version: Darwin 10.8.0
Needless to say, no issues on a PC.
I'm not sure if it's a Safari/MBP or ASPxScheduler issue but, put together, we seem to have a problem.
    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
I regret to hear that you continue experiencing this issue. I will forward this ticket to our developers. They will check whether or not it is possible to do anything on our side to fix this issue. Please understand that it might take some additional time because we are not quite familiar with Mac machines/OS.
P.S.: We have tested this issue by using Mac OS Leopard.
    Thanks,
    Alessandro.

      Hi Alessandro,
Thanks to you and the team for fixing this - great work.
