Description:
I change the layout of a view at runtime. For example, I add some bands/columns and then save it using the SaveLayoutToStream method. But when I call the RestoreLayoutFromStream, the band has disappeared. Why?
Answer:
Actually, this is the designed behavior. By default, when you try to restore a column which exists in a layout but doesn't exist in the current control, this column is discarded. However, you can change this behavior by setting the OptionsLayout.Columns.RemoveOldColumns property to false and the OptionsLayout.Columns.StoreAllOptions property to true. In this case columns that don't exist in the current control will be added to it.
