Hi I have a docx document I can open the file then I see an image and some text on the right side of the image plus three tables.
If I open this file with Devexpress then the text near the image is set vertical instead of horizontal this cannot be changed, then the length of the file is two pages the last page shows on the end the last table, (this should be on top of page two.
If I select the image (right mouse then copy) open a image editor then normally I can paste this image now nothing happen
If I open this file in Word then I can copy the image and table 3 is shown on top, and the text near the image is shown correct
I attach the file
Hi,
I have reviewed the provided file and was able to reproduce only this behavior: our RichEditControl doesn't provide the capability to copy an image into clipboard and then paste it into some image editor. Our developers will consider the possibility to implement such a feature in the future. Also, I noticed that in our RichEditControl, the free space between the image and table is different than in Microsoft Word. To research this problematic behavior we need to know how you compose or obtain the provided document. Please clarify this point. As for the "the text near the image is set vertical instead of horizontal this cannot be changed" and "the length of the file is two pages the last page shows on the end the last table, (this should be on top of page two" - I wasn't able to reproduce these issues. I have made a video that illustrates my attempts to reproduce it. Please check the attachment. If I missed some important step to reproduce these issues, please correct me.
I look forward to your response.
Hi George, I do not know ho it is made I get this file from the sales department of the fabric, I attached the file if I scroll on I see the table coming up
Hi,
I have reproduced the behavior illustrated in the provided video and passed it to our developers for further research. Please bear with us. We will notify you as soon as we make any progress.
As for the "the text near the image is set vertical instead of horizontal this cannot be changed" issue, I am still not able to reproduce this problem. Would you please provide us with a screencast to illustrate this issue? Your time and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
I look forward to your response.
Hi George,
Two images one opened with office2003 and the other with office 2007 (both are different) devExpress made a small textbox of it
and the other one
Hi,
Thank you for your message. We are working on the issue, and it appears that we need additional time to research it.
Please bear with us, we will get back to your as soon as possible. I hope you will excuse any delay that may arise.
Hi,
We have researched this issue and found that the provided file contains a description of the textbox for modern and old Microsoft Word versions. And our RichEditControl and Microsoft Word 2013 read the description for modern versions, but Microsoft Word 2007 and Microsoft Word 2003 read the description for old versions. And this is why the textbox is vertically oriented in our RichEditControl and Microsoft Word 2013. At present, there is no way to use the description of the textbox for old versions while our RichEditControl renders a document. We are on the way to fix the problem illustrated in the provided document that the table in the second page is not displayed instantly. Also, as I can see from the provided screenshots, the free space between an image and a table is correct in our RichEditControl and the fact that Microsoft Word 2013 renders this free space differently is related to the fact that there are two different descriptions and we can't take into account both of them. I hope you will find this information helpful.
If you need further assistance, let me know. I'll do my best to help you.
