ASPxGridView - An image in GridViewDataBinaryImageColumn is lost after unsuccessful validation if the PropertiesBinaryImage > EditingSettings > Enabled option is not set

created 9 years ago

Attached a self contained example.

When you Switch to "new" on the top right and edit a row you have to either specify an original Name or Switch it to custom.

if you do not do so, the rowvalidating Fails and throws a row error, but as soon as this happens the Image in the editform is gone.

Can you please tell me why this happens?

    Hi,

Thank you for your sample. I am not sure that I correctly reproduced this issue, but I see that everything operates as expected in your sample. None of the images is lost (see the attached screencast). Please let me know if I missed anything important. If the issue is browser-specific, specify the browser family/version:
        - Detailed information about the browser: make a screenshot of the "Help -> About …" dialog.
        - Browser/Document mode settings - press the F12 key to invoke the Dev Toolbar (for the IE browser only).
