Archive with specific files is considered corrupted in WinRAR and WinZip

created 9 years ago

Hello.

I compress a folder in a ZIP archive. Later, I upload that zip file to an external web page and it shows the error that the file is invalid.
If I descompress the file with WinRar, compress it again in Zip format with Winrar and upload the file to the same web page, it works properly. So I understand that the problem is in compressing the folder with DevExpress.

If a make a diagnosis to the file with WinZip or WinRar I get the error that the compressed data is invalid.

I have attached a video, source code and WinZip diagnose log to demonstrate it.

Could you help me, please?

Thank you and regards.

            Hello.
Now, WinZip diagnose is OK but I continue having a problem:
DevExpress zip file is not a "normal" zip file. If you diagnose the same file compressed with winzip and DevExpress you will see that "total number of entries in central dir" is different and it shouldn't be different.
In the example I have attached you will see that the "total number of entries in central dir" in Winzip is 6 and in Devexpress is 4. If you compress it with WinRar you will see that it also is 6.
By other hand, if you try to uncompress Devexpress ZIP file with Java ZipInputStream (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/util/zip/ZipInputStream.html) you will see that is not possible to uncompress it.
I have attached an example to demonstrate it.
            Please, help me.
            Thank you.
            Regards.

              Hello.
I have compressed the same file using DotNetZip (http://dotnetzip.codeplex.com/) instead of DevExpress and the file generated is correct ("total number of entries in central dir" is 6 and Java can uncompress it).
              Regards,

                Hello,

To process your recent post more efficiently, I created a separate ticket on your behalf: T301865: Archive created with ZipArchive has a different 'total number of entries in central dir' parameter value than an archive created with WinZip or in WinRar. This ticket is currently in our processing queue. Our team will address it as soon as we have any updates.
