Text alignment doesn't work in a textbox with a field

created 9 years ago

Hi DevExpress team,

have a problem with text alignment in a textbox. Everything worked perfect till i inserted a field inside a text box.

I want to add to a header a text box with next content: "Slide {PAGE} of {NUMPAGES}". And align the text to the right. And this is exactly where the problem appears.

As i already said, without a field it aligns perfect. If i do not execute Fields.Update()   text is correctly aligned in draft view, but not in preview (and in exported/printed file).

Attached the project, where the problem can be reproduced. Run it and execute 'Print preview' command.
If you than close preview window, the text in textbox does not react on alignment changing at all.
Also tried to use BeginUpdateParagraphs method, the same behavior.

Controls are 14.2.3.0.

Is there a workaround for solving this issue without updating the dlls?

          Hello,
Unfortunately there is no workaround for this issue, because the issue was in our internal code and it is possible to resolve it only by installing the hotfix.
