Unhandled error occurs when modifying the newly-created Series name in Chart Designer

created 9 years ago (modified 9 years ago)

using vs 2015 Community Edition
Dev Express Subscription Universal
Project is ASP.Net

Hi,

I have a project that was created under Version 15.1 which uses the chart control. If I try to add a second series in the dev Express designer and edit the name of the series VS crashes and forces a re-boot.

I have tried Re-booting my machine several times. Also I have created  a new project which and repeated the operation and the same happens.

Can you help?

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your report. I have reproduced a similar issue locally. We will continue working on a permanent solution. As an immediate workaround, do not modify the newly-created Series name in Chart Designer. Instead, close the designer form and invoke the Series Collection editor (see the "Series…" WebChartControl smart tag option) to access the Series item and change its name.
