DXWindow is shown in the incorrect position when high DPI is used

created 9 years ago (modified 9 years ago)

When the high DPI is used on a local machine and DXWindow's source initialization is forced by calling the WindowInteropHelper.EnsureHandle method within its constructor, the position of the shown window does not match defined values.

The attached sample and screencast illustrate the problematic behavior.

We have fixed the issue described in this ticket and will include the fix in our next maintenance update. To apply this solution before the official update, request a hotfix by clicking the corresponding link for product versions you require.

Note: Hotfixes may be unavailable for beta versions and updates that are about to be released.

Additional information:

The EnsureHandle method is called within our DXSplashScreen and the issue cannot be corrected at the DXWindow level. So, this behavior was fixed at the DXSplashScreen level by using the SourceInitialized event instead of the EnsureHandle method call. This behavior is changed only for the DXWindow when the high DPI is used.
