Memory leak may occur while exporting report to PDF with a Skia engine in specific Linux environments

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create an application that uses the Skia drawing engine.
  2. Run this application in a Linux environment.
  3. Export the report to PDF.

Expected results:

The application's memory usage does not grow.

Current results:

The application's unmanaged memory usage grows a bit after each export operation.

Additional information:

Our developers are working on this issue. We will update this thread as soon as we make any progress on this.

We have addressed the issue described in this ticket and will include a fix in our next maintenance update. Should you need to apply our fix prior to official release, you can request a hotfix here.

Important Notes:

  • Hotfixes may be unavailable for Early Access/Beta builds or updates set for release within a week.
  • .NET only: in the NuGet Package Manager, use your personal NuGet feed and check the "Include prerelease" option to view the hotfix package in the "Updates" tab.

        Hi Jimmy,

        No worries. In fact, there's already a build with the required code changes. It'd be great if you could upgrade the version of referenced DevExpress NuGet packages to 24.1.4-pre-24189 in your project and check how it goes. Complete the same steps your colleague shared in the original XtraReport memory leak thread and share you observations in terms of the total measure usage (whether it constantly grows or stays the same as on Windows).
